Loft Conversion

Customer Brief: Our client is looking to increase and improve the use of her space in order to create multi-functional living areas that fit her lifestyle and that can work with her existing furniture. To accommodate her needs, a single story glazed extension will be built from scratch. She is also looking into adding a new guest's bathroom and a cloakroom. She also wants more storage space and is keen to brush up the home throughout. She wants to add a room to her house which could become a master bedroom, without affecting the function of the existing rooms. Consequently, an application for a loft extension which includes an independent staircase was put through planning, and was rejected.

Onis Approach: This is the kind of client Onis loves: sure of what she wants, and with keen attention to detail. Her project has undergone ups and downs, primarily because of the rejection (in principle) of the loft extension. We intend to appeal this decision as there is precedence in the surrounding conservation area for the type of loft conversion our client wants to achieve.
