Mezzanine

Customer Brief: Our clients have owned their terraced property, which was rented out until last year, since the 70s. They have now decided that the house is to be refurbished to become the home of their son and his wife. They want the home to provide all modern facilities and for a range of improvements to be carried out to both, the building fabric as well as the exterior of the home. Theey will reduce the size of their garage to make way for a bigger garden. The family is now keen to use what was previously under-utilized space.

Onis Approach: In order to improve the use of space, we are building a single storey side extension which will house a newly created breakfast room whilst enlarging the kitchen. A new bathroom will be created in the first floor, to free up on the pressure of only having one bathroom. The master bedroom will be opened into the loft to create a mezzanine en-suite master bathroom. In sum, we are providing a complete refurbishment; the new engineered wood floors, new kitchen and openings will consolidate the modernisation of this family dwelling.
